Waxby

Waxby Privacy Policy

Effective October 5, 2026

Waxby does not collect, store on any server, share, or sell any personal data. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it never connects to the internet.

Waxby is a game for iPhone made by Anthony Craig, an independent developer. This page explains what the game keeps on your iPhone and what it doesn't do.

What stays on your iPhone

To keep your progress, Waxby saves a few small files in its own storage on your iPhone:

These files never leave your iPhone unless you send them yourself. Deleting Waxby deletes them. Like any app's data, all of them but the sound caches are included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer), which are handled by Apple and by your backup settings, not by Waxby.

What Waxby does not do

If you write to support

If you email for help, your message and anything you attach (a screenshot, or playlog.json) are used only to answer you and to fix or tune the game. They are never shared or sold.

Apple and TestFlight

The App Store and TestFlight are run by Apple. If you have chosen in your iPhone's settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass along crash reports and anonymous usage figures through App Store Connect. That happens under Apple's privacy policy and your own settings; Waxby itself collects nothing.

If you test Waxby through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may also collect crash reports and the feedback you choose to send, under Apple's TestFlight terms. Test builds show Waxby's files in the Files app (On My iPhone › Waxby) and keep a technical log of the game engine's messages there, so a tester can choose to send them. The App Store version doesn't show its files in the Files app and doesn't keep that log.

Children

Because Waxby collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will be updated before the app does, with a new effective date.
